Il Podere – Agritourism in Perugia

The Podere is here in our region the “classic land ownership”, a self-sufficient unit that since the Middle Ages has characterized the division of the countryside and has marked its life.

The farms were characterized by a not excessive extension of land (10-15 hectares normally) camped by a farmhouse; they had annexes, or shelters for tools and animals, the well.

These were places where more families lived, who fulfilled their needs well with the fruits of their labor.

This is how Podere Borgobello was configured when very recent restoration work began (2005) and this was the atmosphere that we tried to mountain. The manor house of the farm combines the style and elegance of the fifties of the 900, offering a quiet and familiar atmosphere, able to make guests feel at home. The recent restoration work has left the structure and materials unchanged, keeping original pieces of the period also in the furnishings.

On the upper floor or “Noble” floor the family lived while on the ground floor, where were the stables, today there are three independent apartments.

PODERE BORGOBELLO OFFERS DIFFERENT POSSIBILITIES OF ACCOMMODATION.

Podere Borgobello offers various (combinations) of accomodation.
The apartments can lodge up to 4 guests and include kitchen facilities. Every apartments has its own private garden.
The “Piano Nobile” consists of double and two bed rooms and bathroom, a room for breakfast (buffet) and a big livingroom with fireplace and a loft for reading.
In case of pet animals presence the managements should be in farmed beforehand.

Our accommodation offers include, in the price, utilities, linen and final cleaning, as well as the wifi network and access to all the play-natural activities of the structure such as archery, swimming pool, fishing pond sports, the barbecue and the possibility to collect the produce from the vegetable garden and the henhouse every day.

All rooms have their own bathroom and air conditioning. They have the use of a common kitchen and a dining room. On request: self-catering Italian breakfast basket: € 10

App. 10: the Noble Floor is also rented in a single solution for min. 2 nights. Equipment: nr. 4 double rooms with bathroom, large living room with sofas, reading area, fireplace, kitchen with dishwasher and cooking facilities, dining room, TV, Wi-Fi.
The addition of the extra bed in the rooms has a cost of € 10 per night / € 5 for the crib.

Conditions and regulations:

The prices are per room or apartment and include all utilities, weekly linen change, bed linen / towels / kitchen linen, wifi, access and use of our. “Green services”: swimming pool, barbecue, vegetable gardens from which to collect vegetables freely, our. private lake, bowls field, archery.

The final cleaning for the apartments has a cost of € 30.
Weekly stays are usually included from Saturday to Saturday.
The lodgings are made available from 3.30 pm on each arrival and must be left before 10.30 am on departure, unless specifically requested.
A constant availability is guaranteed for the reception. For any arrival at different times from these you need a pre-notice by mail or telephone at 0039 075 5841471;
The booking confirmation is made through the payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the amount, to be paid in a manner communicated by the management at the time of confirmation;
The Management reserves the right to request a deposit of € 150, refunded upon departure, except for any damages or shortages.

Umbria: a place of culture and relax

Umbria, known as “the green heart of Italy”, is the only region of the south/central Italy that does not border on the sea, but to make up for this you can find one of the largest lakes in Italy, the lake Trasimeno. Attractive tourist area is PODERE PORGOBELLO characteristic of area are the mountains and the green fertile valleys of cultivated land, a natural puzzle of fields.Umbria is between the city of Rome and Florence (about 2 hours by car) and it offers numerous places of historical and cultural interest as Perugia, Assisi, Foligno, Todi, Città della Pieve, Lago trasimeno, Gubbio.

A stay in this area is perfect for whoever is looking for relax and a holiday amid and tranquillity. Moreover many events animate the territory all the year round. Some fascinating places are perfect sets for these events and festivals that present food and wine gourmet , art, culture, local traditions, jazz music etc, blending old and modern creativity.

The Historical Roots

The territory at the foot of Monte Tezio was inhabited sine ancient tomes and was considered an important centre by the Etruscans. The discovery of tombs and burials testify the presence of such an extraordinary population in this area. The name of the imposing mount Tezio can be traced back to Etruscan times too. It is about 1000mt high ad is now a natural reserve. It provides that Monte Tezio was a sacred place and seat of important rituals and ceremonies. Even the name Tezio is probably a derivation of the name of the oracle Teti, an Umbrian feminine divinity, than adored by the Ertuscans as protectress of fertility. Now, in the natural reserve of Monte Tezio, there are very interesting walks(paths) of different difficulty, suitable for visitors who wish to plunge in to the typical Umbrian flora and fauna. Worth of note is the Ass. Colli del Tezio, a very active organization which programmes various open air sport activities, as guided excursions even an horseback, trakking, astronomical sky observation by, and other activities.
